Trafigura Prepares Volare Shipping for Oslo Listing with $500m Placement
Trafigura is launching Singapore-based Volare Shipping with a $500m private placement ahead of a planned public listing in Oslo.

Trafigura is opening its expanding crude tanker operations to outside investors through a newly established entity named Volare Shipping. The commodity trading house has initiated a $500 million private placement to support the vehicle ahead of a planned listing in Oslo.
Singapore-incorporated Volare Shipping will enter the market with an existing fleet of six very large crude carriers on the water. The move allows external capital to participate directly in the group's growing large tanker holdings.
The vehicle's capacity is set to expand significantly over the coming years, with eight additional newbuilds scheduled for delivery through 2028. Upon completion of the orderbook, Volare Shipping will control an overall fleet of 14 crude tankers.
