Ammonia-to-power technology developer Amogy has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with South Korean specialty chemicals producer LOTTE Fine Chemical to jointly advance clean energy solutions. Under the agreement, both parties plan to explore supplying ammonia to vessels equipped with Amogy power systems.

The bunkering initiative is set to leverage LOTTE Fine Chemical maritime bunkering capabilities and its existing ammonia terminal located at Ulsan Port. Marine fuel supply forms one of three core priority segments targeted under the broader collaboration between the two companies.

In addition to vessel bunkering, the partnership outlines joint efforts to build hydrogen refuelling infrastructure across South Korea. LOTTE Fine Chemical will support these efforts by sourcing green ammonia through overseas procurement and domestic logistics networks to feed Amogy ammonia cracking systems.
