ARA Bunker Supply Tightens as Prompt Lead Times Stretch to Seven Days
Marine fuel buyers in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp hub face recommended lead times of five to seven days across major grades, despite higher regional inventories in August.

Prompt marine fuel availability has tightened across the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp trading hub, leading bunker suppliers to advise longer lead times for incoming vessels. Buyers seeking prompt bunkering dates are encountering recommended notice periods of between five and seven days.
The supply constraints are affecting all major marine fuel types across the regional market. These extended delivery schedules apply to stems of high-sulphur fuel oil, very low-sulphur fuel oil, ultra-low sulphur fuel oil, and low-sulphur marine gasoil.
The prompt delivery pressure persists even as commercial storage levels have expanded. Independently held fuel oil reserves in the ARA area averaged 15 percent higher in August compared to the average monthly inventory levels recorded during July.
