Brent crude benchmark prices have maintained levels above $100 per barrel for the majority of the past month. The sustained pricing represents a significant increase compared with pre-conflict trading levels of roughly $60 per barrel.

The ongoing price strength comes despite recent data compiled by investment banks and tanker-tracking firms indicating a normalization in regional export volumes. Outbound crude flows traversing the Strait of Hormuz have recovered to, and at times exceeded, levels recorded prior to hostilities.

However, the robust resumption of maritime crude flows from the Middle East has not yet pulled international prices back down. Markets continue to see elevated valuation despite physical transit volumes returning to earlier baselines.
