Singapore and Brazil Agree to Form Green and Digital Shipping Corridor
Singapore and Brazil have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a collaborative green and digital maritime corridor.

Singapore and Brazil have formally agreed to establish the Singapore-Brazil Green and Digital Shipping Corridor through a newly signed memorandum of understanding. The initiative is designed to strengthen cross-border cooperation on maritime decarbonisation and digital transformation, fostering more sustainable and efficient international shipping operations.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the bilateral initiative seeks to accelerate the adoption of clean technologies and lower greenhouse gas emissions across commercial shipping routes connecting the two countries.
The collaboration draws on Brazil's extensive renewable energy capacity to support the production of zero- and near-zero greenhouse gas marine fuels. Singapore contributes its position as the world's primary bunkering hub and global port network to facilitate the adoption and distribution of these alternative energy solutions.
