November West Texas Intermediate crude futures experienced significant volatility over the week as market participants balanced opposing supply dynamics. Upward pressure on prices softened following improvements in crude shipments from the Persian Gulf region.

Crude availability expanded after Saudi Arabia restored key export pathways and regional producers established alternative logistics to circumvent disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz. These developments provided a measure of supply relief to market participants anticipating tighter prompt deliveries.

However, downward price momentum was limited by sustained tightness across refined products, including diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel. Supply was further constrained by Russian limits on diesel exports and reduced refined-cargo offerings from China, while reports surfaced regarding the deployment of a third US carrier strike group to the region.
