Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. has officially named its new 15,500 TEU container vessel, YM Weight. The naming ceremony was hosted on 17 September at the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea.

The newly named boxship is the fourth vessel in an ongoing five-ship series of 15,500 TEU LNG dual-fuel newbuilds under construction at HD HHI. The first vessel in the order, YM Willpower, had its naming ceremony earlier in the year.

With an overall length of 365 metres, YM Weight has been jointly classed by the American Bureau of Shipping and CR. The ship is fitted with high-pressure dual-fuel propulsion engines engineered to burn both LNG and low-sulphur fuel oil.
