European Gas Needs Expected to Drive Seaborne LNG Shipping Growth
Rising European import requirements and constrained supplies are projected to support substantial expansion in seaborne LNG trade, according to shipbroker Intermodal.

Global demand for seaborne liquefied natural gas is projected to record substantial gains, underpinned largely by the future consumption requirements of the European Union.
In a recent weekly market report, shipbroking firm Intermodal indicated that the European gas sector is approaching the upcoming winter heating period under difficult fundamental conditions.
The brokerage highlighted that market pressures heading into the cold season are being driven by comparatively low gas inventory levels alongside restricted LNG availability from Middle Eastern suppliers.
