Turkey recorded an all-time high in diesel intake originating from the United States and India during August, according to vessel tracking figures.

The pivot toward alternative suppliers follows an export prohibition on diesel enforced by Russia, as well as wider logistical disruptions linked to conflict involving Iran.

These geopolitical and trade challenges have prompted domestic fuel buyers to actively diversify procurement channels and secure refined product volumes from outside traditional trade routes.
