A business delegation from Denmark is visiting India this week to investigate new commercial opportunities across the maritime sector. Led by Denmark’s Minister of Business and Competitiveness, Martin Lidegaard, the group is placing sustainable shipping at the forefront of discussions.

The delegation’s itinerary includes site visits to APM Terminals Mumbai and the Mazagon Dock shipyard. These maritime engagements build upon the Green Strategic Partnership that was established between Denmark and India in 2020.

Danish maritime activity has been expanding within the Indian market across the container, tanker, and dry bulk segments. Vessels operated by Danish companies recorded more than 3,000 port calls across India in 2025.
