The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore launched a series of bunkering initiatives on the opening day of the 24th Singapore International Bunkering Conference. Key among the developments is a new Technical Reference for Ammonia Bunkering, established in collaboration with Enterprise Singapore through the Singapore Standards Council.

The port authority also confirmed a memorandum of understanding concerning the adoption of biomethane as a marine fuel, alongside the provision of grant funding dedicated to electric harbour craft.

Additionally, officials noted that Singapore is set to carry out its inaugural ethanol bunkering operation at Pasir Panjang Terminal later in the week.
