MOL Signs Long-Term FSRU Charter With Deutsche ReGas
Mitsui OSK Lines has concluded a long-term charter with Deutsche ReGas to supply a converted regasification unit for Germany's Mukran LNG terminal starting in 2028.

Japanese shipping group Mitsui OSK Lines has finalized a long-term charter contract with Deutsche ReGas to supply a floating storage and regasification unit. The vessel will serve the Deutsche Ostsee liquefied natural gas import terminal located at the port of Mukran in Germany.
Under the terms of the deal, an existing LNG carrier will be converted into an FSRU. Chinese shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has been contracted to carry out the vessel conversion work.
Operations under the new charter agreement are scheduled to commence in 2028 once the retrofitting process is finished.
