The Galveston Wharves has authorised a lease and development agreement with Power LNG LLC covering a 30-acre parcel on Pelican Island, situated along the deep-water Galveston Harbor in Texas. Under the terms of the agreement, the company aims to construct a small-scale liquefied natural gas production, storage, and marine bunkering installation.

According to an announcement released by the city entity on 8 October, the planned project is designed to produce roughly 400,000 gallons of LNG per day. The output will support growing demand for cleaner marine fuels and localized LNG distribution.

The site infrastructure will feature two parallel liquefaction trains operating side by side. Each train will maintain an estimated production capacity of around 200,000 gallons daily to meet operational targets.
