Rotterdam's marine fuel market saw the price premium for bio-blended bunker fuel narrow compared with standard fuel oil over the past week. B30-VLSFO based on POMEME increased by $11/mt, whereas conventional VLSFO jumped by $30/mt during the same timeframe.

This divergence in pricing reduced the premium for B30-VLSFO over traditional VLSFO by $19/mt, setting the difference at $155/mt. Cheaper raw material expenses played a role in moderating price increases for the biofuel blend relative to conventional marine fuel.

In the Dutch market, suppliers of low-carbon marine fuels are able to create ZRE A compliance tickets, which are eligible for trading.
