Alkagesta has been awarded ISCC CORSIA certification allowing it to supply sustainable aviation fuel, according to reports published in January. The certification was covered by aviation fuel and carbon market trade press.

CORSIA is the international scheme under which airlines account for aviation emissions, and ISCC certification is one of the recognised routes for demonstrating that a batch of SAF meets the scheme's sustainability and traceability requirements.

In practice, certification is what makes SAF sellable rather than merely available. Without an auditable chain of custody from feedstock to uplift, a physical supplier cannot pass the emissions benefit to an airline, and the fuel trades as conventional jet.

Global Freight has not independently verified the certification scope or the feedstocks covered. Details remain as reported by the publications listed below.
