CLPe has announced the completion of Hong Kong's inaugural ship-to-ship liquefied natural gas bunkering operation for a pure car and truck carrier. The refuelling was conducted in partnership with CNOOC (Shenzhen) International Marine Clean Energy Co.

The transfer took place on 26 September at Western Anchorage No. 3, located west of Victoria Harbour. The operation was concluded over a six-hour period following collaborative planning between both entities.

During the procedure, CNOOC's bunker vessel Haiyang Shiyou 301 supplied approximately 2,600 cubic metres of LNG. The bunker fuel was delivered to the AICC Fenghuang, a pure car and truck carrier with a capacity of 7,000 car equivalent units.
