Brazilian energy transition company GoVerde Energia has reported progress on its planned e-methanol production plant located inside the Suape Industrial Port Complex. The project site is situated in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho in Pernambuco state, roughly 35 kilometres from Recife.

The Port of Suape ranks among Brazil's busiest maritime and bunkering hubs. The proposed production facility is currently in the engineering development stage as initial planning continues.

Construction is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2027, ahead of anticipated commercial operations in the final quarter of 2029. The initiative is primarily targeting the bunker fuel market, with a key focus on export trade.
