Brazilian state energy company Petrobras has restarted marine bunkering services at the Rio Grande Terminal. The company confirmed the resumption of supply on 24 September following maintenance and safety reviews.

Refuelling operations had been halted after a tropical storm struck the location on 21 September. The severe weather system knocked out the power supply across the terminal, forcing an immediate suspension of activity.

Bunkering was cleared to restart once electricity was fully restored to the site. Petrobras completed a thorough inspection of the facility's infrastructure prior to returning the terminal to service.
