Polish energy company ORLEN has signed an agreement with the Port of Gdynia Authority to study the use of liquefied natural gas and bioLNG as bunker fuels.
The collaboration will focus on evaluating market demand alongside the technical infrastructure, operational parameters, and regulatory conditions needed to support bunkering activities.
A major focus of the review will include the practical feasibility of waterside refuelling options, specifically evaluating ship-to-ship transfer operations at the port.
