IBIA Names Ton Visser as Training and Technical Advisor
The International Bunker Industry Association has appointed industry veteran Ton Visser to the role of training and technical advisor.

The International Bunker Industry Association has named Ton Visser as its new training and technical advisor. The industry body confirmed the appointment on 3 September, highlighting his long career across the oil, gas, chemical, and marine fuels sectors.
Visser brings experience dating back to 1985. His background includes work across refinery and chemical operations, fuel storage and blending, safety and environmental procedures, as well as marine gas oil and residual fuel oils.
Since 2010, Visser has also served as a co-owner and business partner at Oiltraining B.V. That organization provides training courses, seminars, and advisory services focused on the bunker, chemical, and broader energy markets.
