Four Shipowners Order Four Additional Tankers in Furetank Vinga Series
A joint order by four shipowners from Sweden, Norway, and Canada expands the Furetank-designed Vinga tanker series to 26 vessels.

Four shipping companies based in Sweden, Norway, and Canada have placed a collaborative order for four additional Vinga-class vessels. The contract expands the intermediate tanker series, originally developed by Furetank, to a total of 26 vessels.
The participating owners cited positive commercial prospects in the European intermediate tanker trade as a primary rationale for the investment.
The announcement was made on Friday during the naming ceremony for the Fure Vasa, an existing vessel within the tanker programme.
